英语可以稍作修改：There is an old fashioned grocery at the mouth of the alley,ever since I could remember there.The owners are an old couple,who seem to have been so old like this.old fashioned grocer...couple要用单数还是复数？我记得集合名词可以用单数的啊？这不是集合名词，是一个复数概念的单词，相当于 both。其代词通常用 they、them，be 形式为 are、were 等。不同的是 couple 可用不定冠词 a，而 both 不用。如：A young couple often come to a well known hotel for dinner. They know everyone who works there.
