名词后面接形容词是什么语法结构?the structure "noun + adjective"

让我们假定另外有一个具有和地球上相似条件的行星.
有时候,需要用非谓语过渡一下：
The teacher asked the students to be quiet.
She
was angry with him for being late.（这里for是介词所以用动名词我知道,但是我有时候也见过名字后面直接加being +
adj.的情况）
如果只是阅读理解,通常我明白作者的意思.
如果自己写的话,我有时候会混淆,特别是碰到复杂的翻译.
不知道什么时候需要用非谓语,什么时候直接写.
