There are a lot of traditional virtues in China and having a proper table manner is one of them.Table manners in China refer to the proper behavior while eating at the table. In Chinese dining, dishes are communal and chopsticks (and spoons) are often used in place of forks and knives,Avoid holding the chopsticks in such a way as to point your index or (worse) middle finger at the other diners,as this is a sign of anger.Similarly,do not chew on the ends of chopsticks or bang your chopsticks as though you were playing a drum.Chopsticks are not used to move bowls or plates or spearing with food. One should not 'dig' or 'search' through one's food for something in particular,a bad manner known as "digging one's grave" or "grave-digging".While eating,do not engulf your food or make terrible noises. After eating, avoid wiping your mouth with your hand instead of napkin. One should not leave the table ahead of others even if you have finished, and should wait for others to finish and leave the table together.
