drag through 是勉强度过的意思,function 是动词,运行、运作的意思,这里指的是人体的正常运作,at acceptable 实际上应理解为 at acceptable level,这里把level省掉了,这样就不会和optimal level 重复了,这就是为什么外国人写的英语对中国人来讲难理解的原因.这句话可以这样翻译：然而大多数失眠的人还是能够勉强度过白天并且表现正常,当然这不是他们的最佳状态,但是对于睡眠过度的人来说就不是这么回事了.
